Circular design: 

• This product is fully circular. It is made from recycled and recyclable fibers, ensuring that no raw materials are wasted. Instead of following a linear lifecycle — extract, use, discard — the shorts are designed to re‑enter the production loop. When completely worn out, they can be returned to Houdini for recycling through their in‑store and partner recycling units.

Recycled fibers:  

• At least 50% of the fibers come from recycled sources, such as used garments or PET bottles. Recycled polyester significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and water consumption compared to virgin polyester. Depending on the recycling method, reductions can be substantial — one supplier reports 32% lower CO₂ emissions and 94% less water use for mechanically recycled polyester.

Recyclable materials:  

• The material is fully recyclable, meaning it can be transformed into new raw material instead of becoming waste. Houdini aims to stop extracting new raw materials from the earth by 2030, relying instead on circular products made from recycled or recyclable fibers.

• Air garments instead of washing to save water and energy and extend their lifespan
• Use a washing bag to prevent microplastics from entering waterways
• When cleaning the washing bag or filter, wipe it out and dispose of lint in household waste — never rinse under water
